This isn't the way you want to start your entrepreneurial journey!

But like BJJ, you learn from your mistakes, get tough and make adjustments or you quit. I’m still here with you so you know what decision I made. 

By 2013 we had a highly successful gym with over 300 members and at the time of writing this our gym has grown to over 550 members. 

Keep in mind I didn’t start the Youtube channel in earnest until 2015 and within 2 years of using a very well executed content strategy I became a household name in BJJ and was able to create an additional thriving online business. 

None of this happened by accident and I’ve been able to help many others do the same. 

I share this with you because a lot of people in the business coaching space are simply frauds. They’re coaches who have never actually run a successful business. 

Their successful business is teaching YOU how to run a successful business. 

And they sound good, regurgitate the same stuff everyone else does. But the issue is they have no real experience. 

Imagine learning from a coach teaching you techniques for competition who’s never actually rolled or sparred live before. 

They have knowledge and the wording but lack the experience and the wisdom that comes from it. 

I’m also happy to say that I’ve helped several other friends and business owners improve their business and change their lifestyles around. Here’s a couple of fun stories.

3 Success Stories from My Business Students

Back in 2020 I was doing some coaching 1-on-1s with fellow BJJ gym owners. Since I had the extra time from the lockdowns I figured it would be a fun side venture while I waited for our gym to reopen. 

1 of my first business students was a guy who had a podcast, a modest following and a small (but growing gym). 

He had some instructionals on a popular website but was making no money from it. So, we worked together to implement a new strategy and within his first weekend his made nearly 2k on a product launch that more than paid for his coaching. 

On top of that, the content strategy we implemented helped support his relationship with his current gym members. 

A win-win. 

And since then he’s still going strong building his gym and his online business together with each other. They support each other rather than 1 taking away from the other.

Back in 2022 1 of my students wanted to move towards being a pro athlete. He had the skills and natural ability to do it too! The problem he had, like most athletes, was he needed money to live while he trained. At the time he was working in a position as an assistant wrestling coach and wasn’t enjoying his life. 

He was making a little money but felt like he was missing out on the opportunity of a lifetime. The kind that only youth allows. 

So we sat down and outlined a clear content and business strategy to change that. He’s the kind of guy that executes on anything he gets into and within 3 months he was able to quit his job, train full-time and make enough money to where he can travel the world and focus on his competing career.

Back in early 2025 I talked to a friend of mine. He was releasing a book and was trying to get the ball rolling. 

We had just finished rolling and were having a talk after our rolling session together. He told me about his upcoming book project and I gave him some ideas on how to structure the offer for the book, rather than just selling the book. 

A month later he sent me a message telling me he had become an Amazon best seller in his niche. 

Not bad for a 10 minute conversation.

I share these quick stories with you for a couple of reasons...

• After buying 1 of the coaching packages, I’ll send you a form to fill out so that I can get a good read as to where you are with your business. To see where you are currently and what your goals are.

• Next, we’ll schedule our 1st call together. During this call I’ll go over the information from the form and then work with you to formulate a gameplan for your business or lifestyle around it. I say lifestyle because as a small business owner you can't separate your business from your life. They're 1 in the same and I've seen plenty of business owners feel like slaves to their businesses. What was supposed to be freedom becomes a prison...and it shouldn't be this way!
